If you have read post about >>>Tips to Carpet Care.. , the third tips is about carpet freshener powder. Do you interested on making your own DIY carpet freshener powder? Below are the 5 tips on making your own natural homemade carpet freshener.

1) 1/2 cup baking soda

The baking soda is a natural carpet cleaner, and will help to remove any odors from your carpet.

2) 20-40 drops essential oil

The essential oils will not only leave a wonderful scent, but will also help to cleanse your carpet as well. Pick essential oils that smell nice and have powerful cleansing properties.

3) Mixed together

Mix baking soda and essential oils together.

4) Put mixture in container

Get your container ready. Put it in. Shake well. Let this mixture sit for 24 hours to allow the essential oil to permeate the baking soda.

5) Labelled your container

Don't forget to labelled your container. Else, you might forgot and use it to bake cake. LOL!!

When you want to use it, sprinkle lightly over carpet. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes, and then vacuum as usual. Your carpet will smell good, and you don't even have to use nasty chemicals. Keep in mind that this powder doesn't clean the carpet, it is only intended to remove odor.
